Ship’s Cook Assessment Course

Ships cook assessment is a requirement to be carried on board for any vessel carrying more than 10 seafarers onboard and operating more than 60 miles from a safe haven.

Persons over 18 years of age and at least one month sea time and valid STCW

Courses Description

The course assessment will be conducted at Maritime Hospitality Group kitchen facilities and includes level 3 Food safety and is recommended for anyone that is in charge of catering or hospitality.

The course covers microbiology, hazards and controls, food poising, personal hygiene as well as equipment and premises cleaning and disinfection, pest management and food safety management.
